First
of all, lets begin with the facts. A whopping 4 out
of 5 Americans suffer from back pain at some point
in their lives! Moreover, back problems are the most
common cause of disability in patients under the age
of 45. It's no longer hard to see why back aches cost
our country about 20 to 50 billion dollars each year
from absence from work, insurance claims, and of course
medical bills.
Why
is this back problem spread all over, and what causes
them? Usually, sprains, strains, and muscle spasms
contribute to back pain. These in turn are caused
by events such as heavy lifting, a fall, accidents,
or even something as simple as stopping suddenly while
driving.
